Day Visit
For our Veteran and First Responders along with their families that want to come for a day trip the day begins with a welcome tour of the farmstead, where visitors can meet our rescue horses and other farm animals, including goats, chickens, and friendly barn cats. These animals are more than just companions—they’re partners in healing, offering comfort and grounding moments through connection and interaction.
The heart of the visit is our equine-assisted learning session. Visitors are invited to bond with our rescue horses, gaining confidence, mindfulness, and emotional release through hands-on experiences like grooming, leading, groundwork, or simply spending quiet time together. These moments create space for self-reflection and stress relief, essential for those who’ve faced chronic stress or trauma.
Guests are welcome to stroll through our serene grounds, take in the peaceful landscape, enjoy time by our shaded gathering spots, and soak in the breathtaking views around our Top of the Rock fire pit. Throughout the day, there may be time to connect with other visitors who share similar life experiences, fostering a sense of community and understanding.

Restorative Retreat
A weekend at Legacy Farmstead is designed exclusively for Veterans and First Responders. and their families seeking restoration and relaxation. Our serene nonprofit equine ranch offers a peaceful escape from the demands of daily life, surrounded by the natural beauty of the countryside and the gentle presence of our rescue animals.
The retreat begins with a warm welcome and a tour of the farmstead. Guests meet our rescue horses, along with our other animal residents—friendly goats, chickens, and barn cats—who are all part of the healing experience. After settling in, enjoy time to relax and explore the grounds at your own pace. While staying with us, all meals are loving prepared. Guests are invited to engage in hands-on experiences with our equine heroes like grooming, leading, or simply spending mindful time with the horses. These activities promote emotional grounding, self-awareness, and confidence.
